Perfect Timing

They say that timing is everything.  In astrology this cliché can be uncannily true.

Having experienced the misfortune of having my job made redundant in June this year I was faced with the unenviable task, like so many others in today’s economic climate, of having to find gainful employment.

Yesterday (on 26 June 2011) I attended an interview for a job and in the evening received a telephone call from someone on the interview panel who informed me that I had been successful.

The solar arc directions in my chart for this time are not only telling but also within very close orbs.  First of all there is the arc of Jupiter/Uranus = MC: the midpoint of “Thank the Lord” arriving by direction at the natal tenth house cusp using a 45° sort – thank the lord indeed!  This particular arc is exact.

Another arc this time of Mercury/Jupiter = Ascendant within an orb of only 3’ arc is active.  Ebertin describes this combination in COSI as “a successful meeting” which the interview obviously was.  I had two difficult questions put to me, the answers to which I thought may have compromised my chances of getting the job.

There is also, again within a close 3’ orb, the arc of Ascendant = Jupiter/Chiron which could be interpreted as a fortunate turning point in the environment.

Note how both the Ascendant and Midheaven are involved in these midpoint equations.  If your birth angles are correct you can be fairly assured that close event correlations will also show up by directions and progressions.
